This Privacy Policy applies to the browser extension that works with a paired local Windows 2FA application.

1. Data Collection

This extension does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal data to any remote server.

The extension is designed only to request a TOTP code from a paired local Windows 2FA application. The communication is intended to happen locally, for example on the same device, over the same local network, or through a user-configured VPN connection.

1. TOTP Secrets

The extension does not store TOTP secrets.

TOTP secrets are stored and handled by the paired local Windows 2FA application. The browser extension only requests the generated TOTP code when the user triggers the action or when the extension needs to complete the 2FA process.

1. Local Communication

The extension may communicate with the paired Windows application in order to request a TOTP code.

This communication may include only the technical information needed for the paired application to identify which TOTP code should be returned, such as a local pairing identifier or the relevant website/account identifier.

This information is not sent to any third-party server by the extension.

1. Remote Servers

This extension does not use any external or remote server for processing, storing, or transferring user data.

All 2FA-related processing is performed locally between the browser extension and the paired Windows application.

1. Third-Party Sharing

This extension does not share user data with third parties.

No analytics, advertising, tracking, or marketing services are used by this extension.

1. Permissions

The extension may request browser permissions required for its core functionality, such as interacting with supported websites and communicating with the paired local Windows application.

These permissions are used only to provide the TOTP request functionality.

1. Data Retention

The extension does not retain personal data.

Any local configuration required for pairing, such as a local device address, local port, pairing token, or pairing setting, may be stored only on the user's device and can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension settings.

The extension is designed to work locally with the paired Windows application. Users are responsible for keeping their devices, browser, operating system, and local network secure.
