Version 1.6.3
Veröffentlicht 6. Sep. 2026 – 620,5 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höherVersion 1.6.3 of the GeoGuessr add-on for Firefox brings your own character to your dashboard, and fixes two settings that did nothing.- New: on a paid plan your in-game character can now appear on your dashboard on our website. The add-on reads the item ids of the outfit your character wears and nothing else, so your player name, player id and address are not sent. There is a switch for it in Settings under Data and privacy, and you can remove the character from your dashboard at any time.
- Fixed: the Map Zoom slider did nothing on the main game site. The guess map is taken off the page about a sixth of a second after a guess is confirmed, and the zoom was being applied after that, so it played on a map that was already gone. It now settles before the guess is sent. The lower half of the slider also did nothing, because the zoom could only ever move closer, never wider.
- Fixed: every question mark in Settings was missing. The panel builds those little help bubbles from the page, and the translation pass was removing them before they could be used, in every language including English. All six are back, and so is the count beside Recent guesses.
- The Map Zoom slider is dimmed while Auto Place is off, because that is the only thing that reads it.

Version 1.6.2
Veröffentlicht 4. Sep. 2026 – 617,71 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höherVersion 1.6.2 of the GeoGuessr add-on for Firefox fixes the sidebar naming a place you are not in.- Fixed: while a round's location had not arrived yet, the sidebar could show your own earlier guess as though it were the answer, and then keep showing it for the rest of the game. One report had it naming a place in Ireland during a round in New Zealand. A guess is now never read as an answer, on any site, and a game response with no location in it is left alone instead of being searched for anything coordinate-shaped.
- Fixed: the location shown when the sidebar opens could be one from an earlier game, because it was saved without a time and never cleared. It now says there is no fresh reading for this round rather than showing a place you are not standing in.
- A reading older than the round is refused before it costs you a guess.
- The sidebar now says where a free code comes from. The panel has accepted codes for a while and nothing explained them. Join the ATLAS Discord, press GeoGuessr in the product panel, and you get a code for 15 extra free rounds to paste under Redeem a code.

Version 1.6.1
Veröffentlicht 3. Sep. 2026 – 614,85 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höherVersion 1.6.1 of the GeoGuessr add-on for Firefox fixes the country names on the sidebar map.- Fixed: the map drew every country name at once, so around the highlighted country the names of its neighbours sat on top of each other. Reported on a Norway round, where United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Bosnia and Herzegovina were drawn across one another.
- The map now names only the countries whose name fits them at the current zoom, keeps every name clear of the others and of the marker, and never cuts a name off at the edge of the map. The country you are in is always named, in bold.
- Neighbouring countries are named one size smaller than before. The highlighted country's name is unchanged.
- Eight long names are shortened on the map only, such as "United States" for "United States of America". The location card above the map keeps the full name.

Version 1.6.0
Veröffentlicht 3. Sep. 2026 – 613,02 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höherVersion 1.6.0 of the GeoGuessr add-on for Firefox speaks eight languages, and fixes two problems reported by users.- The sidebar is now available in Dutch, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Korean as well as English. It follows your browser's language, with nothing to set.
- Fixed: at high zoom the highlighted country was drawn much wider than the country itself. On Italy the outline ran roughly 60 km past the coast, across the northern Adriatic and onto the far shore. It now stays within about 2 km.
- Fixed: country names on the map were about three pixels tall whatever the zoom, which made them unreadable.
- The marker pulse is now a thin ring. It used to be a filled disc that grew to cover several degrees of ground.
- Fixed: a reading that is nowhere near land is no longer shown as the location. One report had the panel displaying a point in the empty Pacific, about 1,300 km from the nearest land, which came back even after a restart. Such a reading is now discarded and the previous round stays on screen. An install that already stored one repairs itself the next time the panel opens.

Version 1.5.15
Veröffentlicht 27. Aug. 2026 – 556,04 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höher- Fixed: the optional map animation could zoom in on open water before placing the guess, and in rare cases could click the answer itself.
- The in-panel map now zooms in properly on large countries. Russia, the United States and Canada previously fell back to a near-whole-world view, so the biggest countries showed the least detail.
- Map Zoom moved to its own Guess Map section in Settings. It used to sit inside Auto Place, which hid it entirely when Auto Place was switched off, even though the setting still applied.

Version 1.5.14
Veröffentlicht 23. Aug. 2026 – 555,89 KBFunktioniert mit firefox 128.0 und höher- The in-panel map is now a political map: country borders and names instead of a plain silhouette, with latitude lines for orientation.
- Country coverage went from 177 to 242. Singapore, Malta, Monaco, Andorra, Hong Kong and eleven others were previously named as a neighbouring country or not named at all.
- Fixed: the panel could keep showing an earlier round, and could place several pins for a single round.
- Fixed: the location name could be blank, could show a whole postal address chain, and a city state came back as a lookup failure.
- Fixed: placing the pin waited on a cosmetic name lookup with no time limit.
- Fixed: a rate limited licence check could drop a paying user back to the free tier until the next check.
- Diagnostics now record which browser the extension runs in, so Firefox specific problems can be told apart from Chrome ones.
