The first thing I tried to do was move some watch later videos to a different playlist, so I clicked the checkboxes for the videos, then I clicked on the Save to Playlist button and nothing happened. I thought it was broken. What actually happens is tiny blue 'JOIN' text shows up in the bottom left corner that is extremely easy to miss if your sidebar menu is visible, which mine is, so it overlaps with stuff and makes it look cluttered before disappearing in a couple seconds.
Two actually functional things are the ability to delete videos from playlists in one click with the trash can button, and deleting a group of videos by selecting them, pressing the remove button, then confirming. Useful if you're really bad at removing videos from playlists, but a marginal convenience otherwise. Neither function works from a playlist sidebar when the YouTube player is visible, only from the playlist page.
Maybe it's better if you pay $3 a month/$30 a year, but I have no idea if it actually works, as YouTube breaks these things as often as they come out and I can't test it without paying, and even if it did, I can't really justify paying for saving a few extra clicks.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 9 MonatenOur paid features are working as expected. The basic groups for organizing playlists are free, if you want extended features, you should become a patron. It takes time to update the extension every time YouTube changes internally.
Furthermore, the decision to keep some features for the Patreon version of PocketTube was made to ensure the long-term feasibility of the free version. - Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon Adriano Azevedo, vor 9 MonatenAs a developer, I support Paywall, but Pocket Tube fails in the clarity of its limitations. I am a Contributor (subscriber via Firefox) and NONE of my Groups/Subgroups are synchronized on Google Chrome (extension) or the Android app. This is unacceptable. I will maintain the subscription for now, awaiting the developer's justification regarding this synchronization failure. If the limitation is confirmed, I will cancel and change the rating to 1 star. If it is due to my poor configuration, I will retract and adjust the rating.

geschrieben am vor 9 MonatenWe don't have a Google Drive sync for playlist extension, the Android app for playlists doesn't exist. It's clear and wasn't mentioned anywhere in the description or the premium features list, which you see on the Patreon tab. If you need, you can export/import your playlist groups using a file. Just click on the extension icon and export/import your data between browsers. - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13259883, vor 9 MonatenThis add-on has been a game changer. Can't imagine using YouTube without it. However there seems to have been a recent change where you are now being forced again to scroll through all your playlists just to save a video to specific list instead of being able to search keyword for the exact name of the playlist you wanted. Nor are we given the option to save the video to multiple playlists before closing the window. I'm not sure if the hiccup is on YouTube's end or not but am wondering when the issue may be resolved?
Edit: To the developer who answered thank you for the clear and quick response! The search function on playlists is definitely back and I appreciate it. Gosh I wish YouTube would learn from their goof ups over the years instead of doubling down on them. Anyways I will continue to use and support the success of this extension and your team who works hard on it. Hopefully one day Firefox may add a reply button to make messaging a little bit easier.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 9 MonatenThank you for sharing! The search was added to the new YouTube UI in extension version 2.17.7.
"Save the video to multiple playlists before closing the window" is an option provided by YouTube. They changed it for the new UI, and the extension can't fix it. I hope they change their minds. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 19528167, vor 9 Monaten
- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon TRR, vor 10 MonatenHaha, started this up and is has lots of nice features, click any feature and it says "only for patrons".
Nice.
Edit:
In response to the developer response, the thing that's wrong with this in my view is that without declaring clearly that most of the features are locked behind a paywall, it's a bait and switch. Monetising a product is understandable, but here the description boasts a bunch of features without saying you have to pay money for them, and I think that's dishonest.
In fact, the description even suggests supporting the developer on patreon, which implies to me this product is a donation-supported, typical of free software. I don't know how popular it is to "donate" to developers of paid software on patreon. It's not really a donation then.Antwort des Entwicklers

- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon James, vor einem JahrThis thing is an absolute dream come true! I have a TON of playlists. I love the feature, and use it heavily. I create playlists of my favorite videos for different channels, and when I discover a new channel I enjoy, I create a "catch-up" playlist of their old videos. All of this used to be easy. There were various websites that worked with the API to allow playlists to be copied, sorted by length, all kinds of stuff. But bit-by-bit, YouTube has changed the API so that none of these sites work anymore. Now, if you want to build a really big playlist, you have to manually, one-by-one add videos to plalists. Sorting options have always been limited, and now they're even worse.
This extension fixes all of that! Now I have a clean interface, with my playlists sorted by time, and making new ones is the simple task that it SHOULD be natively. Well worth the Patreon investment, and I'm definitely checking out the other extensions made by the same dev.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem JahrThat's great! So glad to hear you're enjoying PocketTube. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 19231949, vor einem JahrLiterally wanted this for one thing, to organize my watch later playlist by video length, and they paywalled it. With no mention on the download page that you need to pay. This is literally the first add-on I've ever been told I needed to pay for to use a feature. Really Scummy.
Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem JahrScummy, really? I'm not cheating you. The link on Patreon is available on the extension download page. Why did not open it? Moreover, it's also mentioned in the description, please check the Sort playlist videos by duration [only for our patrons]

So did you blame me without any reason? Why did you scum me in your review, little guy, who's trying to innovate?
I am not a big corporation. We all like free stuff. But in a world where everything is free, we are the product. It's a world where big corporations have all the power because they are the only ones who can afford to offer "free" services. Is that in our interest? - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon kazerniel, vor einem JahrPlaylist filtering (the only reason I got this addon) is paywalled... Tip to dev: Maybe indicate clearly on the addon page which features are paywalled to avoid user disappointment and low reviews.

Edit: Not true ? Then what's the popup lead to the ads on Youtube of your other addon ? A joke ?
Stop lying.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem JahrThat's not true, our extension is ad-free. Maybe you have other extensions causing that behavior. We don't add external ads or replace native YouTube ads.
Edit: If you were referring to our other add-on, it's not an external ads, it's part of our own ecosystem. PocketTube includes two extensions: one for managing subscriptions and another for playlists. If the other add-on isn’t relevant to you, you can simply close the popup, there’s no pressure.
The popup you saw is part of our onboarding flow. We also use it to inform users about new features. We focus on building features our users love and rely on every day.
If you’re not comfortable with our approach, you’re welcome to remove the extension.
