SiteLocker is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices in relation to the SiteLocker Firefox Add-on.

1. DATA COLLECTION AND TRANSMISSION
   SiteLocker is built with a strict offline-first, local-only architecture.
2. Zero Remote Collection: We do not collect, capture, monitor, or transmit any of your personal data, credentials, browsing activity, or locked website domains.
3. Zero Telemetry/Analytics: There are no third-party trackers, analytics libraries, or telemetry scripts embedded inside the extension.
4. No External Network Requests: All features, including the procedurally synthesized sound effects, operate 100% locally on-device. No external server requests are ever initiated.
5. LOCAL DATA STORAGE AND PROCESSING
   All extension configurations and user preferences are stored strictly inside your browser's sandboxed storage (chrome.storage.local) on your local device. This includes:

8. General setting toggles (e.g., auto-lock on refresh, haptic vibration).

10. SECURITY AND CRYPTOGRAPHY
    To protect your configurations:
11. Your 4-digit passcode is hashed locally on your device using SHA-256 combined with a unique, cryptographically random local salt via the Web Crypto API. The raw PIN is never stored.
12. Your 8-word recovery phrase is generated dynamically on your device and stays inside your local sandbox.
13. Standard tab lockouts are rendered via a secure, closed Shadow DOM overlay, isolating the lock screen from the host website's scripts.
14. THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE
    Because we do not collect or store your information, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise disclose any data to third parties.
