After the extension updates, a notification now reminds you to refresh your open Jira tabs so the timer stays connected.
When the background service is slow to respond, the popup no longer gets stuck: it keeps you informed while checking the connection and offers to restart the extension when needed.
The welcome tab no longer opens unnecessarily after restarting the extension.
