Über diese Erweiterung
Supermarkets and brands have quietly been shrinking product sizes while keeping prices the same — or raising them. UnitNormalize fights back.
The moment you search on Amazon, UnitNormalize scans every product on the page, extracts the weight, volume, or count from the product title, does the math instantly, and injects a price-per-unit badge directly under the price. No clicking. No copying numbers into a calculator. Just the truth, right there on the page.
How it works
UnitNormalize reads the product title locally in your browser — things like "32 oz", "6-pack (12 fl oz each)", "500g", or "96 count" — calculates the real unit price, and displays it in a small green badge beneath the listed price. The product with the lowest price-per-unit on the page gets a special "Best" highlight so the winner is always obvious at a glance.
Features
• Instant price-per-unit badges on Amazon search results
• Handles weight (oz, g, kg, lb), volume (fl oz, ml, L, gal), and count (tablets, pods, wipes, rolls, etc.)
• Understands multi-packs — "12 × 500ml", "4-pack 16 oz each", "6-count" all parsed correctly
• Best Value highlight — the lowest unit price on the page is automatically flagged
• Switch between Imperial (per oz / per fl oz) and Metric (per 100g / per 100ml) in one click
• Works on infinite scroll and paginated results via live page monitoring
• Fully isolated badges — never broken by Amazon's own CSS
Privacy
UnitNormalize does all calculations instantly inside your browser. It reads nothing except the product titles and prices already visible on the page. No data is collected, stored remotely, transmitted, or shared. Ever. This is declared explicitly in the extension manifest.
Permissions
UnitNormalize only requests access to Amazon search result pages and local browser storage for your unit preference (imperial or metric). No other permissions are needed or requested.
