Über diese Erweiterung
If you use XAMPP for local PHP development and open files directly from Notepad++, VS Code, or any editor, your browser opens them as file:///D:/xampp/htdocs/myproject/index.php. This breaks .htaccess rules, mod_rewrite, and anything that needs a real web server.
XAMPP Local Redirector automatically detects these file:// URLs and redirects them to http://localhost/myproject/index.php the moment they load — no clicks needed.
Features:
- Works with any XAMPP path on Windows, Linux, and Mac
- Default domain is localhost (standard XAMPP setup)
- Change the default domain to anything (e.g. mysite.test)
- Custom Rules: map specific htdocs folders to specific virtual host domains
- Enable/disable with one click without losing your settings
- Collects zero data — everything stays in your browser
