Data processed by the extension may include:

• YouTube video titles
• Available transcript or caption text
• User-provided prompts or text entered into the extension
• Extension settings required to provide the requested features

YTubeTranscript does not download YouTube videos or audio.

YTubeTranscript does not bypass DRM, paywalls, private videos, login restrictions or access controls.

Transcript-related content is processed only when the user actively uses the extension features.

AI-assisted features may send selected transcript content, video-related text or user-provided prompts to the configured AI provider or service only when the user intentionally uses those features.

YTubeTranscript does not sell user data.

YTubeTranscript does not use transcript content for advertising profiling.

Data is processed only to provide the extension’s functionality, including transcript extraction, copy/download, summaries, analysis, notes, outlines, scripts, translations or content ideas.

Users remain in control of when transcript content is processed or sent to external AI services.
