    • Fixed the Chrome Manifest V3 rejection — no remotely-hosted code ships in the package anymore.
    • Settings moved into a new Settings tab on the Help page (standalone options page retired); keyboard shortcuts now documented in Help too.
    • Text highlighting now works for selection reads, not just full-page.
    • Fixed forward/back skip glitches that caused overlapping audio.
    • Darker in-theme highlight so white text stays readable on dark-mode pages.
    • Toolbar dialect/voice dropdowns restyled to match the panel; smoother panel open/close animations.
    • On sites that already embed Web Reader, the installed extension now takes over so you see only one reader.
    • Removed the browser speech-synthesis fallback (ABAIR voices only).
