AshurGet Privacy Policy
Effective 19 July 2026 · Applies to the AshurGet Windows application and the AshurGet browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, both made by Ashur Information Technology, Iraq.

The short version
The browser extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere — it only hands download links to the AshurGet app on your own computer. The app contacts our license server only for licensing: starting your trial, activating your key, and periodic license checks. We never see your downloads, your browsing, or your files. No analytics, no ads, and we never sell or share personal data.

The browser extension
The AshurGet extension detects download links and downloadable media on pages you visit and passes them to the AshurGet application installed on your computer. That hand-off happens entirely on your machine.

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit your browsing history, page contents, or any personal information. It communicates with the local AshurGet application and with nothing else — no remote servers, no analytics, no tracking of any kind. It requests only the browser permissions needed to detect links and media and to talk to the local app.

The extension does not sell or transfer user data to third parties, does not use data for purposes unrelated to its single function, and does not use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

The desktop application
AshurGet runs locally. Your downloads travel from the internet directly to your disk. The application contacts our license server (api.ashurtech.com) only in these cases:

Starting the free trial: your email address and a hardware fingerprint — an anonymous identifier derived from your machine, used to tie the trial to that machine.
Activating a license: your first name, last name, email address, license key, and the same hardware fingerprint.
Periodic license checks: your license identifier and hardware fingerprint.
We use this information solely to operate trials and licenses and to provide support. The application never sends us your download URLs, the files you download, your download history, or the contents of any page.

What we never collect
Your browsing history. The files you download, their names, or their URLs. Usage analytics or telemetry of any kind. Anything at all from the extension beyond the local hand-off described above.

Website and downloads
Our website, ashurtech.com, is served through Cloudflare. Like virtually every website, our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and time) for security and operations.

Payments
If you purchase a license, payment is handled by the payment provider. We receive your name, email address, and order details so we can issue your key — never your card number.

Retention and your rights
We keep licensing records while your trial or license is relevant, and afterwards as needed for support and bookkeeping. You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing support@ashurtech.com — we will act on it promptly.

Children
AshurGet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
