About this extension
Drift adds a lightweight scroll budget to Twitter/X, Reddit, LinkedIn, and any infinite-scroll site.
How it works
Set a screen budget (default: 20 screens). Once you've scrolled that far downward in a session, the page softly dims and a checkpoint appears — showing exactly how many screens you've scrolled and asking if you want to continue. Two choices:
Keep scrolling — clears the prompt and resets the budget for another N screens
Step away — dismisses permanently for the rest of the session
On single-page apps like Twitter and Reddit, Drift detects navigation and resets the counter fresh for each new page/feed.
Not a blocker
Drift never locks you out. It's one moment of friction — a pause to check in with yourself before scrolling becomes automatic.
Per-site control
Each domain can have its own budget. Set Reddit to 15 screens, LinkedIn to 10, Twitter to 25 — or leave everything at the global default.
Privacy
Zero data collection. All settings stay in local storage. No network requests, no telemetry.
