• Graceful states everywhere: not configured yet, invalid key, rate-limited (waits exactly as long as the API asks), network trouble (keeps your last scores), and quiet hours with no live matches

HOW IT WORKS

Scores come from the Live Tennis API (api.livetennisapi.com). Get a free API key — 1,000 requests/day, 30 per minute, no card required — at https://livetennisapi.com/subscribe/free, paste it into the add-on's options page, and live scores appear in your toolbar.

The add-on polls from a single background page, so the request budget is spent carefully: one call per refresh, no matter how often you open the popup.

PRIVACY

• Your API key is stored locally in your browser (storage.local) and is sent only to api.livetennisapi.com to authenticate your requests
• The add-on talks to exactly one host: api.livetennisapi.com — no analytics, no tracking, no user data collected or sold
• No remote code: everything runs from the packaged files
