About this extension
Manx Sensim gradually brings the Manx language into the websites you already read every day. News articles, social media, forums, AI chats, blogs, and everyday browsing slowly begin shifting as familiar English words are replaced with easy-to-read Manx phonetic equivalents. No lessons to complete. No flashcards to memorize. No separate app demanding your attention. The language simply begins appearing naturally inside the text you already live in.
Every midnight, 3 new Manx words unlock automatically. Each Manx word replaces all matching English meanings at once, allowing recognition and intuition to grow through repetition and immersion. Miss one day and nothing happens. Miss several days and a few words gently fade back, encouraging steady exposure without pressure or guilt.
The phonetics are written for English speakers so anyone can begin reading and speaking immediately. Across 1,000 days, you gradually absorb 3,000 Manx words rooted in the living heritage of the Isle of Man.
Manx Sensim is inspired by Ellan Vannin — the sea winds of the Irish Sea, fishing villages, Celtic crosses, hill forts, old songs, and the remarkable revival of a language once declared extinct but brought back by the people who refused to let it die. It is designed for the Manx diaspora, heritage learners, Celtic language enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the resilient cultures of the Atlantic world. Little by little, the language returns to everyday life simply by being seen again.
