Hardcore Commitment & Scheduling: Set your lock duration, choose a custom block schedule, and secure it with an encrypted password. On Firefox, there is truly no escape—uninstalling is not an option. Reinstalling the extension restores the lock completely.Total Domain Control: Comes pre-loaded with the biggest dopamine traps, but is entirely customizable. Block any domain or subdomain that breaks your focus. Once the timer starts, this list is completely frozen and untouchable.Surgical Exceptions: Need YouTube for a specific tutorial but want the rest of the site nuked? Add exact URL paths to an allowlist. The algorithm stays blocked, but your required content gets through.Zero Escape & Live Precision: Watch the exact seconds tick down on your hardcore commitment. Check your remaining time and active schedule at a glance. Until that timer hits absolute zero, your blocked lists are completely frozen. No early overrides. The Wall: When the dopamine hits and you try to slip up, this is what you see. A hardcore, un-bypassable screen showing exactly how much time you have left on your commitment, ticking down to the absolute second. The Cost of Distraction: It's not just about dopamine; it's about the hours you can't get back. Read unfiltered Stoic philosophy and neuroscience breakdowns right on the blocked page to remind your prefrontal cortex exactly why you set this lock in the first place.
About this extension
MindLock is a hard-lock distraction blocker built for people who are serious about reclaiming focus.

Unlike soft blockers that can be paused or bypassed, MindLock locks you out for a set number of days. Once activated, the only way out is waiting — the timer and your password must both clear before anything unlocks.

Features:
- Block any site (social media, adult content, or anything else draining your time)
- Keyword blocking — redirects pages whose URL or title contains words you define
- YouTube allowlist — block YouTube entirely but allow specific videos or channels
- Schedule mode — block only during set hours, or keep it on 24/7
- Live countdown timer on every blocked page
- Educational content on the blocked page (neuroscience, philosophy, habit science) so the redirect is useful, not just a wall
- On Firefox: reinstalling the extension restores an active lock — uninstalling is not an escape

No sync, no accounts, no data collection. Everything stays on your device.
