Privacy Policy — NetworkX.ai Browser Extension
Last updated: June 2026
The NetworkX.ai browser extension ("the extension") helps you connect your X (Twitter) account to NetworkX.ai by reading your existing X session cookies and turning them into a single token you can paste into NetworkX.ai. This policy explains exactly what the extension accesses and what happens to that data.
What the extension accesses
When you click "Get Key", the extension reads the following cookies from your browser's cookie store for x.com and twitter.com:
auth_token
ct0
twid
kdt (when present)
These are authentication credentials for your X session. The extension reads them only at the moment you click the button — it does not run in the background, monitor your browsing, or read cookies for any other website.
How that data is used
The cookie values are combined into a single string and base64-encoded locally, inside your browser, to produce a token.
The token is displayed in the extension popup so that you can copy it.
The extension itself does not transmit, upload, or send this token or your cookies to NetworkX.ai or to any other server. Transmission happens only if and when you choose to paste the token into NetworkX.ai.
What the extension does NOT do
It does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
It does not contact any remote server on its own.
It does not store your cookies or token anywhere outside the active popup session — closing the popup discards them.
It does not sell or share your data with third parties.
It does not use or transfer your data for any purpose unrelated to its core function (connecting your X account to NetworkX.ai).
It does not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Data shared with NetworkX.ai
When you paste the token into NetworkX.ai, the authentication information it contains is sent to the NetworkX.ai service so it can connect to your X account on your behalf. That data is then handled under the NetworkX.ai privacy policy. The browser extension is only the tool that generates the token; it is not the channel that delivers it.
Permissions and why they are needed
cookies — to read your X session cookies so the token can be generated. auth_token and kdt are HTTP-only cookies and can only be read through this permission.
tabs — to open the NetworkX.ai website when you click the link in the popup.
Host permissions for x.com and twitter.com — to read cookies for those domains only.
Your control
You can remove the extension at any time from your browser's extensions page. Removing it deletes all of its access immediately. Because the extension stores nothing remotely, there is no separate data deletion request to make.
