Translation processing

When you request a translation, the selected image content is sent from the extension to our backend and to translation providers as needed to generate the translated result. We process the image content only to provide the translation, calculate usage, cache matching translations, and maintain service reliability.
Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Tanuki Image Translator stores payment and credit metadata needed to fulfill purchases and maintain account balances, such as Stripe checkout session ID, purchased pack, paid amount, credited amount, bonus amount, and transaction timestamps. We do not store full card numbers.
Local extension storage

The Chrome extension stores session and preference data locally in Chrome, including auth token, email, email verification status, credit balances, source and target language, selected model, theme, pending top-up state, and analytics client identifier.
