About this extension
Utiq Detector tells you, in real time, whether the website you are visiting uses Utiq — the advertising tracking technology built by major European telecom operators (Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, Vodafone).
Unlike a cookie, Utiq identifies you at the network level: your mobile or fixed connection, tied to your phone number or line, can be turned into an advertising identifier that follows you across sites, browsers and devices — and that clearing cookies does not stop.
What it does
- Clear per-tab icon: red when the site uses Utiq, green when it doesn't, gray while analysing.
- A discreet in-page notice the first time a tracked site is detected (shown once per site).
- One-click opt-out to the official Utiq Consent Hub.
- One-click reporting: if a site uses Utiq but isn't listed yet, you can help by reporting it.
Privacy first — it protects you, it does not watch you
- All analysis happens locally, in your browser. Nothing about the pages you visit is sent anywhere.
- No browsing history, no full URLs, no cookies, no identifiers, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs.
- The only data that ever leaves your browser is a bare domain name, and only when you explicitly click “Report this site”. Your IP is never stored.
