YouTube AI Analyzer is a lightweight, privacy-focused browser extension designed to help you understand video content faster. By leveraging the power of Google Gemini, this tool provides quick analysis of YouTube videos, helping you save time and cut through the fluff.

Getting Started:
To use this extension, you will need a personal API key from Google AI Studio.

1 Install the extension.
2 Open the extension settings (click the gear icon in the popup).
3 Paste your Google AI Studio API key into the input field.
4 Select your preferred Gemini model from the dropdown menu.

Recommended: For the best balance of speed and performance, we recommend using gemini-3.1-flash-lite-preview.

Privacy & Security:
Your API key is stored locally within your browser's storage and is never transmitted to any third-party server other than Google's official API for generating the analysis. We do not track or store your usage data.
Note: This extension requires a personal Gemini API key. Google currently provides a generous free tier for the Gemini API, so you won't need to pay for standard usage.
