  • Latest version

    Version 1.0.15

    Released 6 Oct 2026 - 507.11 kB
Works with firefox 128.0 and later, android 128.0 and later
    • Translations saved before this version are fetched again once, so a dubbed line no longer plays at the wrong moment in the video
    • New choice in the popup: Dubbed voice, Subtitles or Both. Subtitles shows the translation on screen and keeps the original sound, without generating any speech

    Version 1.0.14

    Released 5 Oct 2026 - 503.06 kB
Works with firefox 128.0 and later, android 128.0 and later
    • Faster first voice: a short first piece of the video is translated before the rest
    • Original-volume slider: the low end is quieter, so 5% stays well under the dubbed voice
    • YouTube: the original sound no longer jumps to full volume for a moment while dubbing
    • Pausing the video pauses the dubbed voice too; a dub started on a paused video waits until you press play
    • Subtitles: YouTube's own captions are hidden while ours are on; drag them on m.youtube.com and by touch on Firefox for Android (double-tap resets)
    • Firefox for Android tablets: no more crackling voice, and the volume sliders work as on phones
    • The dub button no longer disappears when another dubbing extension is installed on the same page

  • Version 1.0.13

    Released 4 Oct 2026 - 499.49 kB
Works with firefox 128.0 and later, android 128.0 and later
    • Voice preview in onboarding: hear a voice before you start (117 languages)
    • Draggable subtitles; while a dub is playing, Alt+Shift+D switches between the original sound and the dubbed voice
    • Optional: the original sound gets louder in longer pauses between dubbed sentences, so music and effects come through (off by default)
    • YouTube: human-made English captions are now preferred over auto-generated ones
    • Firefox for Android: settings open in a tab, sign-in notice fits the screen, YouTube captions turned off during dubbing, ducking works from the first playback
    • New usage statistic: how long until the first dubbed sentence is heard, recorded only as a range (see dubly.me/privacy)
