About this extension

GlowNote is an independent companion for public RedNote/Xiaohongshu video pages.

While you watch, GlowNote can display play, like, and comment counts only when those values are already visible on the page. When the page exposes a directly accessible HTTP(S) media source, it adds a Download MP4 action beside the player. There is no paste-link workflow, and unavailable metrics are never guessed.

The extension refreshes the page-exposed media reference before a user-initiated download, helping it follow the currently selected public video. Language, insight visibility, and download-action preferences are stored locally in the browser.

Use GlowNote only for content you own or are authorized to save. It does not bypass DRM, logins, signed-session controls, blob/MediaSource playback, or platform download restrictions. It does not remove watermarks.
