KaiTV Privacy Policy

Scope

This privacy policy applies to the KaiTV extension for Mozilla Firefox. KaiTV adds community titles, pronouns, Adventure Time profiles, and optional authenticated balance information to Twitch.

Visible Twitch Data

KaiTV reads Twitch usernames already visible on Twitch pages. These usernames are transmitted over HTTPS to eraleas.com to retrieve the community title, title description, stored pronouns, and public Adventure Time class and level associated with the username.

When eraleas.com does not have stored pronouns for a username, KaiTV sends that username to Alejo’s Twitch Chat Pronouns service at pronouns.alejo.io to retrieve the public pronouns selected by that Twitch user.

Twitch usernames, titles, pronouns, and Adventure Time class and level are used only to provide KaiTV’s community profile features.

KaiTV does not read or transmit chat-message text, passwords, payment information, Twitch private messages, or general browsing history. KaiTV does not include advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking.

Firefox Data Collection Permissions

KaiTV declares website content as required data because it reads visible Twitch usernames and transmits them for community profile lookups.

Personally identifying information and authentication information are optional. Firefox requests permission for these categories only when the user chooses Connect Twitch. Declining this optional permission leaves titles, pronouns, and public Adventure Time profiles available.

Optional Twitch Connection

Users may choose Connect Twitch in the KaiTV popup. Twitch authentication confirms the connected user’s Twitch ID, username, and display name. KaiTV never receives the user’s Twitch password.

After connecting, KaiTV can display the connected user’s Starshards, Nickels, Galarium, and Celestial Paragon level when that user opens their own Twitch user card or Mod View details. Ordinary viewers cannot use KaiTV to request another viewer’s private balances.

The authenticated community operator accounts eightbitbromo and eraleas may view a selected community member’s balances. The Eraleas server verifies the authenticated Twitch identity before granting this access. Twitch page content alone cannot grant operator access.

Local Storage and Caching

KaiTV stores the following information:

• Community title results, including empty results, may be cached locally for up to five minutes.
• Pronoun results, including empty results, may be cached locally for up to fifteen minutes.
• Alejo pronoun display-name definitions may be cached locally for up to twenty-four hours.
• KaiTV display settings are kept in synchronized extension storage until changed or the extension’s data is removed.
• The connected username, display name, connection times, and an opaque KaiTV session token are kept in local extension storage to maintain the optional Twitch connection.
• Private currency responses are held in extension memory for up to thirty seconds and are not written to local or synchronized storage.

Expired cache entries are periodically removed. If a service is temporarily unavailable, a stale cached title or pronoun result may briefly remain visible.

Services and Data Sharing

Eraleas receives visible Twitch usernames for community profile lookups. It also processes optional authenticated KaiTV sessions and authorized private-balance requests.

Twitch handles the optional sign-in and token-revocation process under Twitch’s own privacy notice.

Alejo’s Twitch Chat Pronouns service receives a Twitch username only when Eraleas does not have stored pronouns for that username.

HTTPS requests necessarily expose standard network information—including an IP address, browser user agent, destination, and request time—to the receiving service and its hosting infrastructure.

KaiTV does not sell or rent user information. It does not share extension data with advertisers or data brokers, and collected information is not used for advertising or unrelated purposes. Information may be disclosed when legally required or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and operation of the service.

Security and Retention

KaiTV’s external requests use HTTPS. The extension stores only an opaque KaiTV session token, not Twitch access or refresh tokens. Twitch tokens remain on the Eraleas server and are encrypted at rest. Server session tokens are stored as one-way hashes.

Connected sessions use a sliding ninety-day inactivity window. Disconnecting Twitch removes the local connection and asks the server to revoke the Twitch token and delete the corresponding KaiTV session.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but KaiTV limits the information it retains and separates browser sessions from server-side Twitch credentials.

User Choices and Controls

Connecting a Twitch account is optional.

Users can disable the display of titles, pronouns, or tooltips through KaiTV’s settings.

The Disconnect Twitch control revokes and deletes the KaiTV session.

Removing KaiTV removes its local and synchronized extension storage according to Firefox’s normal extension-removal behavior.

Public pronouns supplied by Alejo can be managed at pr.alejo.io.

Installation Detection

On eraleas.com, KaiTV announces that the extension is installed and provides its version number. This prevents Eraleas pages from showing an unnecessary installation prompt.

This signal does not identify the browser user and does not give the website access to extension APIs, cached Twitch information, or the optional KaiTV session.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when KaiTV’s features or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected in an updated extension listing or release notes where appropriate.
