Additionally, you have the option to provide your First Name, Last Name, and professional Web Links (such as your portfolio or LinkedIn profile). Providing this information is entirely optional; however, submitting these fields allows our automation system to build significantly more polished, targeted, and professional cover letters.

B. CV Data & Document Storage
To provide a seamless document tailoring experience, our platform allows you to pre-upload your master CV. This document is safely stored within your account profile so that you can instantly generate tailored, job-specific variations without uploading your file repeatedly for every single application.

Pre-uploading is not mandatory. The application fully supports a zero-provision start: if you choose not to pre-upload a CV, the system will simply request an on-demand upload at the moment you initiate a tailoring action. Once uploaded, that version will be securely stored to power subsequent actions.

C. User-Initiated Browser Extension Data
Our browser extension utilizes permissions (such as broad host permissions and scripting) strictly to facilitate user-driven actions. The extension does not silently crawl, monitor, or log your background browsing history. It reads web page data exclusively when you actively highlight job description text or invoke the Side Panel interface. This highlighted text acts as an input to help generate your tailored CVs and cover letters.

D. Abuse Prevention & Platform Integrity
To ensure fair access to our features and prevent exploitation of our free-trial offerings, we use the text and structural patterns within uploaded CVs to detect duplicate entries. When a document is processed, our system generates a secure, cryptographic hash of the CV data. This hash is compared against our records solely to determine if the same or an heavily identical CV is being recycled to create multiple fraudulent free-trial accounts. This automated check preserves resources for genuine users without human review of your file contents for this purpose.

1. Data Protection & Least Privilege
   We adhere strictly to the principle of least privilege. Extension cookies and local storage mechanisms are dynamically sandboxed and restricted to our verified domain namespace. We do not inspect, intercept, or modify third-party cookies or general browser download actions unrelated to your generated career documents.

Our Promise: We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with third-party advertisers, and we never transfer it to unrelated entities under any circumstances.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information only for as long as your account remains active. You maintain total ownership of your data. You may request the permanent deletion of your profile, saved job application logs, and generated documents at any time by accessing your account settings or contacting support.
