About this extension
NanoDrops pays you nano, a feeless digital currency, for the live streams you already watch. Anyone can fund a faucet for a channel, and the viewers who are genuinely watching share what is in the pot. Contributions go straight to the faucets and no fees are taken. You watch the way you already do; there is nothing to click.

This is not a cryptominer. It does not mine cryptocurrency and it never will. It runs a small proof-of-work liveness check, hashcash-style, the same idea as a CAPTCHA, for one reason only: to make it expensive for bots to drain rewards meant for real viewers. It produces no coin, for you, for us, or for anyone else. The cost is a few milliseconds of CPU roughly every 25 seconds, and only while you are actively watching a funded stream. Nothing runs when you are not. For what it is worth, nano is also one of the most energy efficient currencies there is; a transaction uses less power than blinking your router lights.

What it reads, and what it sends. On a stream page it reads the video player's own state: whether it is playing, whether it is muted, and whether it is actually visible on your screen. That is the whole point, because it is what tells the server you are really watching instead of parking a muted tab in the background. On nanodrops.org it reads the login token the site already saved for you, so you earn as your own account without signing in twice. It sends heartbeats to the NanoDrops server. It does not read your browsing history, your page content, your keystrokes, your other tabs, or anything on any other site.

Where it runs. Twitch and Kick channel pages, and nanodrops.org. Nowhere else. It does not embed, restream, proxy, or modify the player; it reads the same video element you are already watching.

What you get. An overlay on the stream showing whether you are earning, the current rate, and a countdown to the next drop, plus a toolbar badge for a glance. If something is stopping you from earning it tells you which thing, rather than failing quietly.

You need a free NanoDrops account. Sign in at https://nanodrops.org, then open a live stream. Payouts are public by design on the nano ledger and in the transparency feed.
