About this extension
PageEcho turns every new tab into a private, intelligent workspace built from the pages you actually use.
Instead of showing only generic frequently visited websites, PageEcho analyzes browsing activity locally to help you continue unfinished work, return to frequently used pages, and reopen related pages together.
PageEcho does not require an account, login, subscription, or cloud service.
Activity tracking begins only after your consent. History and bookmark permissions are optional and are used to prepare initial recommendations from recent browser data. PageEcho does not modify or delete the original browser history or bookmarks.
Visible page-text indexing is also optional. Website access is requested separately only when you enable this feature. Recognized sensitive pages and pages containing password or one-time-code fields are excluded from page-text indexing.
PageEcho data, recommendations, and the search index remain on your device. Private browsing activity is not recorded. You can pause tracking, revoke optional permissions, manage exclusions and retention, export a backup, or clear all PageEcho data at any time.
PageEcho supports English, Simplified Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

- Smart new tab: Access Google Search, pinned shortcuts, recently used pages, frequent destinations, and suggested page groups from one clean interface.
- Continue Using: Quickly return to recently active pages that may belong to unfinished tasks.
- Frequent destinations: Find pages used repeatedly across multiple days, rather than pages opened frequently during only one session.
- Work and Personal contexts: Filter recommendations using locally recorded usage-time evidence, with manual corrections when needed.
- Suggested page groups: PageEcho suggests reusable groups when multiple pages repeatedly appear together across browsing sessions.
- Editable page groups: Rename groups, reorder or move pages, add or remove members, merge groups, and reopen their pages together.
- Custom pinned shortcuts: Add, edit, remove, expand, and reorder shortcuts using drag and drop.
- Local full-text search: Search stored titles, URLs, and optionally indexed visible page text.
- Effective-use tracking: PageEcho considers the active tab, browser-window focus, idle state, usage frequency, active days, and recent activity instead of treating every open tab as meaningful usage.
- Optional idle-tab cleanup: Close unused tabs while protecting active, pinned, media-playing, internal, whitelisted, and last-window tabs. Closed tabs can be restored.
- Local backup and restore: Export your PageEcho data to a local file and restore it when needed.
