However, they need to include this in the description: unless you have the paid plan, you cannot choose what country you want (even from the 10 free countries offered in the plan). The only option on the free plan is Quick Connect, which auto-connects you.

posted 10 days agoThank you for the review. The default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. It was the only free VPN I trusted and used and it worked great. However as of yesterday it stopped working. I've tried to uninstall it but it actually won't let me, and if I try to click on the icon/widget it is just a neverending spinning circle. Also, I keep getting a popup that says "Your networks seems to be blocking Proton. The extension can't bypass this. Try the desktop app instead"
This is very frustrating to especially since the mobile version keeps workings fine for now. I originally thought it might be a problem on my end, but apparently this has been an issue for many other people. Dropping my review so hopefully others know they aren't aloneDeveloper response
