Automatic error recovery: failed pages are now retried automatically with a longer wait - most failures resolve themselves. Pages blocked by cookie consent screens or "verify you're human" checks are detected, opened in a tab, and a prompt guides you through fixing them, instead of appearing in results as junk content. New "Automatically resolve page errors" setting (on by default). Also: first install opens the documentation page, uninstalling offers an optional anonymous feedback page, and retried analyses no longer drop skipped rows (PDFs etc.).

JULY 2026 RELEASE NOTES

New: AI Overview analysis
RankRecon now captures what Google's AI Overview actually said and which pages it cited, then cross-references every citation against the organic result. You can now see who appears in the citations, and whether ranking organically still earns visibility.

New: Local Pack breakdown
On SERPs with a map pack, RankRecon extracts the listed businesses - names, ratings, review counts, categories, websites, addresses - and shows which of them also rank organically.

New: Saved analyses
Every completed analysis is now saved automatically on your device. Reopen recent analyses from the popup, pin the ones you want to keep, and revisit any report without re-scraping. Up to 50 are kept; pinned analyses are never removed. Everything stays local.

New: Copy data for AI analysis
One click copies the raw measurements in an AI-ready format - paste into ChatGPT or Claude for further analysis of the SERP. The prompt is customisable in settings.

- Report actions bar: export all data or the report itself (Markdown/HTML) straight from the Deep Dive.
- The per-page Data Summary now leads the report - measured data first, analysis after.
- All H1s on a page are now captured, not just the first.
- Excel exports gain "Local Pack" and "AI Overview" sheets; Markdown, Text, and HTML exports include the new datasets.
- Three additional export-field toggles in settings (content-scoped link counts, nav detection) - 28 data points per page.
- Sharper page-intent classification, including Google-verified Local Pack businesses counting toward local intent.
- Many fixes: popup layout and scrollbars (especially Firefox), Shape of the SERP ordering on multi-page scrapes, retries now update the original saved analysis instead of duplicating it.

Breaking change: JSON export format
The JSON export is no longer a flat array of results. It is now a keyed object: { "organic": [...], "localPack": [...], "aiOverview": {...} }. If you have scripts or tooling that consume RankRecon's JSON export, read the result rows from the organic key. CSV is unchanged (organic results only).
