About this extension
ReviewLens reads the reviews and rating breakdown already shown on an Amazon product page and surfaces a plain-language signal about review patterns that are sometimes associated with manipulated reviews. You can say this is an alternative of fakespot extension. This extension is only work for Amazon websites.
A small floating button appears in the corner of every Amazon product page. Click it to open a panel showing:
- A 0–100 pattern score, color-coded
- The product's full star-rating breakdown (5★ through 1★)
- Four specific signals - verified-purchase ratio, rating-distribution
shape, review posting velocity, and duplicate/near-duplicate wording
across reviews - each with the actual numbers and a plain-language
explanation
How it works: everything is computed locally, in your browser, using
only the reviews and ratings Amazon's own page has already rendered for
you. ReviewLens does not scrape, crawl, or contact any server — nothing
about your browsing is ever transmitted anywhere.
Important: ReviewLens is a pattern-analysis tool, not a fraud detector.
It never claims a specific review, seller, or product is fake - it shows
named patterns (e.g. "only 14% of visible reviews are Verified Purchase")
and lets you draw your own conclusion.
ReviewLens is an independent project and is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc.
