A single click on a speed button now changes the speed of that video only — and nothing else.

Previously, with per-channel memory enabled, the same click also stored the speed for the channel, so slowing down one video without changing the channel's setting was impossible. These are two separate things now. Saving a speed for a channel has its own button on the panel, next to the "default everywhere" bookmark. It stays lit while the channel has its own speed; press it again to clear. It also switches the feature on, so there is no need to hunt for it in the settings.

The panel is fixed too: with the slider set to the right, one extra speed button used to push the slider and the gear onto a second line. Now the speed buttons themselves wrap and the slider and icons keep their place on the right.

When you move to the next video, YouTube changes the address before it repaints the author block. The extension could read the PREVIOUS channel from it, take that for the current one and stop looking — so the whole page counted as the wrong channel, and that channel's saved speed was applied to every following video. The channel is now cleared on navigation and re-read until the page shows the real author; on top of that the author block is only trusted when it belongs to the video actually open, not to the previous one.

The Diagnostics tab also gained a line that states plainly what the extension thinks about the open page: which channel it recognised, the speed saved for it, the default, and what is playing right now.

The extension identifies the channel from the author link under the video. It only understood the short form of that link — so when another add-on rewrote it into the full form ("https://www.youtube.com/@channel/videos"), the channel went unrecognised and the feature did nothing at all: the saved speed was never applied and new presses were never recorded. The link is now parsed properly, so both forms resolve to the same channel. Two cases where one channel could end up with two separate memory entries are fixed as well, and handles that are not written in the Latin alphabet are recognised.

The extension has to work out which channel the open video belongs to. It used to look only during the first 2.4 seconds after a navigation — if YouTube rendered the description later, the channel stayed unidentified: the remembered speed was never applied, and later presses on the speed buttons were not recorded at all, silently. The lookup now keeps trying for up to 30 seconds, and a speed picked before the channel is known is no longer lost — it is written as soon as the channel resolves. Moving to the next video discards it, so a choice made on the previous channel cannot land in the new one.

Updates reach Firefox on phones and tablets again.

From version 0.6.2 on, the builds went to the store without the Android compatibility flag, so mobile Firefox never offered an update and installs stayed on an old version. The flag is back and is now set automatically on every build. Nothing else in the extension changed.

Исправлено: плашка о доступе показывала служебный текст вместо перевода; кнопка выдачи доступа в Firefox больше не прячется за окном расширения; предупреждение о доступе больше не срабатывает, когда один из двух сайтов разрешён; панель скорости больше не исчезает молча из-за невидимого чужого элемента на странице.

New: the extension now tells you when it has no access to YouTube or RuTube and offers to fix it in one click — Firefox does not grant access an add-on gains in an update, which could leave it silently doing nothing. The popup on other sites is no longer a dead end: it offers buttons that take you there. After positive feedback, the form links to the review page.

Fixed: the access banner showed untranslated placeholder text; on Firefox the grant button no longer hides behind our own window; the access warning no longer fires when one of the two sites is granted; and the speed panel no longer disappears silently because of an invisible leftover element from another script.
