The most reliable, easiest to connect to and now their speed seems to have increased even on the free version. Better than urban which is hard to connect to and drops connections frequently. Much better than adguard which is junk. I've tried most all of the free vpns and Browsec is the ONLY one that is easy to connect to doesn't play games with users and just works. I rate it number one of the free vpn addons, If the increase speed continues I will add another star and star using browser again.
4-25-24: upped it one star, it is the most stable free vpn available. Not the fastest but the least flakey and buggy, so that deserves and extra star.
12-28-23: Slow but usually reliable and stable unlike most of the others. I see that adguard vpn is not listed here any longer, probably just as well as it has been pretty usless for a long time.
8-6-23: downgraded one star due to occasional firewall blocks by globe.ph isp-most hacked and crooked isp on the planet. Had to switch to another proxy service due to this.
7-4-23 update: Best free vpn i have found. Getting a little too intrusive with it's ads and other ad "alerts". Hopefully it will not get worse such that I have to stop using it. Little bit slow but not too bad. Needs to add more free servers only a few that are free. Some of these are blocked by some forums as being spam IPs (moron moderators) Some of us need a free vpn and cannot pay, sorry. Beats adguard free vpn, more stable, faster reliable connects, none of adguards BS. Haven't found a better free one yet and I have check many.
12-1-22: Browsec has started hijacking your browser to spam you with ads. NOT GOOD. where do these jerks get off with injecting malware code into your machine to hijack your browser. And Mozilla tolerates this crap. Shame on Mozilla. Still just tiny, like 4 ips to choose from and half of them are too slow and give no bars readout from the extension itself. Still wanted: a GOOD free vpn addon that doesn't act like malware. At least this one connects quickly and is fairly stable.
UPDATE 9-29-21: STILL SLOW AS MOLASSES IN jANUARY. SLOW TO CONNECT, SLOW DATA TRANSFER. JUST ANOTHER "FREE" LAME VPN-NO NEWS THERE.
Update 7-14-21 extremely limited number of free proxies, not worth it. just another lame free vpn, there are SO MANY.
If I could give this zero stars I would. Simply does not work. No connection made cannot even get a list of servers. This is using latest ffox. Don't waste ur time with another phoney lame vpn. There are so many here. - Rated 3 out of 5by gerry shark, 5 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by stapuft, 6 years agoworks allright, but you HAVE to also install a webRTC blocking extension to actually gt it to work properly, unlike other vpns that have that built in.

posted 6 years agoThanks for the review! Browsec can protect you from WebRTC leaks. Click the gear in the Browsec interface and switch 'Use Browsec for WebRTC connections'. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16107893, 6 years ago
