by Arth, 6 months agoThis is a wonderful extension. Free, ad-free, open-source. To all appearances, it's a student/hobbyist project that doesn't harvest your data at all.
The broadest of the few permissions it asks for is entirely optional and only needed if you want to enable a particular feature (the direct emoji insert feature, I think). If you don't use that feature, you don't have to grant the permission. Top-tier privacy respect, right there. I value that highly, these days.
I haven't found anything that does what this extension does any better, either.
My one wishlist item would be: I want kaomoji options, by which I mean complex emoticons (originating mostly in Japan, I think, but now common elsewhere too) like:

... and so on and on and on. There are a lot of these.
Anyway, although many kaomoji are relatively easy to type, many aren't at all, especially if they use unicode symbols or characters from other languages than one's own. And even those that are easy to type are relatively complex, so most people don't type them and just do the whole copy-paste routine like we do for emoji when we don't have a handy-dandy emoji keyboard at our disposal.
Anyway, if I could use kaomoji via this extension the same way as it lets me use graphical emoji, that would be next-level perfect, and I would truly be over the moon about it.
For now, I remain stuck in "painstackingly google, then copy and paste, or else just don't use kaomoji because that feels like too much work" land.
But I used to be stuck doing that for (or else never using) graphical emoji too, and now: no more of that! Thanks to this excellent extension. A++++++
... Anyway, regardless, thank you so much for making and sharing this extension! It's definitely made my internet life better, and I appreciate it very much. You've made the world a little better, with this.

Unfortunately, kaomojis (/emoticons) are not the focus of this add-on, and I prefer to leave it "clean", so I can improve one single field: emojis... I follow the idea of "quality over quantity" ("better done than many failed attempts").
I hope you can understand.

posted a month agoHi iBlip, please, write to me via email emojis you don’t find in the addon, so I can add them 😊 - Rated 5 out of 5by Utilisator24, a month agoC'est ce que je cherchais pour envoyer des emojis à ChatGPT dans mes prompts. This is what I was looking for to send emojis to ChatGPT in my prompts.
