Yeah, people really should know this company is not to be trusted according to this:

I used to use it, long ago, until I learned of this information. And once I realized I had been duped, uninstalled it. Never looked back since then and used better addons that ACTUALLY did the job.

To be fair, that article never had the facts correct. Plus it is 5 years old. Ghostery is now open source so you can see for yourself what's going on behind the scenes. https://github.com/ghostery/ghostery-extension

Ghostery has been an annoyance. I could control AdBlocker but not Ghostery. I want to remove it but have not yet found the way to do so.

Sorry to hear about your issues. You can always email us at [email protected] so we can try and get it worked out. Otherwise.. Just go to Firefox Addons manager and click remove.
