JW Web Add-on Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JW Web Add-on ("Add-on") handles data and user privacy. By downloading, installing, enabling, accessing, or using the Add-on, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Add-on.

1. No Personal Data Collection
   JW Web Add-on does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information with JW PubMedia One through its own independent servers or services.
2. Local Browser Storage
   The Add-on may store settings, preferences, interface states, and other feature-related data locally in your browser storage on your device so that the Add-on can function properly and remember your selections.
   This locally stored data may include, for example:
   a) enabled or disabled feature settings
   b) display or interface preferences
   c) playback or viewing preferences
   d) temporary feature state data necessary for normal operation
   This locally stored data is not transmitted to JW PubMedia One by the Add-on itself.
   You may clear or reset stored Add-on data at any time through your browser settings or through control features made available by the Add-on.
3. Website Interaction and Network Requests
   To provide its features, JW Web Add-on may interact with supported JW websites.
   These requests are limited to what is reasonably necessary for the Add-on to function.
   JW Web Add-on does not operate its own independent backend for user data collection. However, when the Add-on interacts with supported JW websites, normal web requests may occur through your browser as part of page loading and feature functionality.
4. Limited Scope
   The Add-on is intended to function only on supported JW websites and is not designed to operate on unrelated websites or track your browsing activity across the broader web.
5. App Deep Links
   In some cases, the Add-on may open or pass a deep link to a supported application from a supported JW website. This does not mean that the Add-on independently connects to, collects data from, or operates the application itself.
6. No Advertising, Analytics, or Tracking
   JW Web Add-on does not include advertising networks, independent analytics services operated by JW PubMedia One, cross-site tracking, data profiling, or hidden data harvesting unrelated to its stated functionality.
   JW PubMedia One does not use JW Web Add-on to build user profiles, track users across unrelated websites, or monetize user data.
7. Browser and Website Data Handling
   Because JW Web Add-on runs inside your browser and interacts with supported JW websites, some information may be handled by your browser or by the websites you visit as part of normal website operation and network communication.
   Such handling is outside the Add-on's own independent data collection practices and is governed by the applicable browser, website, and service terms, policies, and settings.
8. User Control
   You may disable the Add-on, disable specific features, clear stored browser data used by the Add-on, or remove the Add-on entirely through your browser.
   If a supported website changes and a feature becomes unstable or incompatible, you may temporarily disable the affected feature until an update is available.
9. Permissions
   JW Web Add-on only requests and uses permissions reasonably necessary to provide its stated functionality on supported JW websites.
   Any browser permissions used by the Add-on are intended only for the operation of the Add-on and not for unrelated advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
10. Data Security
    JW Web Add-on is designed to minimize data handling by relying primarily on local browser functionality and local browser storage.
    However, no browser environment, device, storage mechanism, website connection, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
11. Children's Privacy
    JW Web Add-on is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through its own independent systems.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
    This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time if there are changes to the Add-on's features, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
    Any updated version will be posted on the applicable page for the Add-on. Your continued use of JW Web Add-on after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
