- Rated 5 out of 5by Destroyerz117, 4 years agoI've used this for chrome so I know it's good, but I've been having issues trying to use it on firefox
every time I go onto a video I get a popup saying: "It seems that SponsorBlock is unable to reach the YouTube API. To fix this, accept the permission prompt that will appear next, wait a few seconds, and then reload the page" accepting this doesn't really work and I'll keep getting the popup multiple times
one one video. Skipping hasn't been working either, I'm not sure what the problem is as it seems to be working fine for everyone else - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16866646, 4 years ago

The function to mark and edit segments are really unintuitive though... - Rated 3 out of 5by Papa Doc, 5 years ago

Developer response
posted 5 years agoThe issue seems to be that the extension doesn't have permission to the domain used for getting the YouTube video info. The next update adds a check for it and will then prompt a permission prompt. The current workaround is to give it access to all sites: https://github.com/ajayyy/SponsorBlock/issues/611#issuecomment-801579094
Next update is still WIP, but that part is already implemented if you want to clone from source: https://github.com/ajayyy/SponsorBlock/pull/690
