Worked right away. Wish I could lock the screen to pause video And press play to unpause, but I can adjust

I use this with Ublock Origin to enjoy music or audio from prettycmuch any website while my phone is locked or while using a different app.

As of 01.02.2026, YouTube videos wouldn’t play in the background on Firefox mobile. This extension fixed the problem perfectly. Highly recommended.

Wow, it just works. I can switch tabs or use other apps or lock the phone and yt is still playing. The funny thing is that ggle AI showed me this addon :)
