    • Refreshed the input field with a lighter pill background and brighter, higher-contrast placeholder text, so it reads more clearly.
    • Submitting from the input field now opens its destination page directly through a built link instead of routing the request through a browser API, for faster and more consistent navigation.
    • Loads the extension's own configuration, letting it build its destination link from the configured domain, with a safe fallback if configuration is unavailable.
    • Submissions from the New Tab page and the toolbar popup now carry an origin marker so the destination page can tell where the request started.
    • Added lightweight console logging that records each submission and its parameters to aid troubleshooting; logging errors are caught quietly and never interrupt navigation.
    • Streamlined by removing unnecessary asynchronous handling.
    • Raised the minimum required browser version. From 140.0 to 142.0
