Add custom search engine by Tom Schuster

by Noxanne, 5 years agoI tried putting in "https://images.google.com" and all it did was send me to the default Google Image page, effectively making the whole add-on pointless. Then I put in "https://images.google.com/search?q=%s" as the address for the search engine and Firefox would not even react to me pressing Tab.
On top of that, developers should refrain from using programmer jargon when developing add-ons such as these. Extensions for web browsers should never require the user to manually type in things like "addons:extensions#search". There should be a button for when the user wants to check their list of installed search engines.

- Rated 1 out of 5by MonkCanatella, 12 days agodpaste.org is down and there doesn't appear to be a way to handle it manually so for now this plugin doesn't work.
But also this can now be done natively in FF which means this plugin is now redundant (for the time being) - Rated 5 out of 5by Sonia, a month agoHelped a lot when the browser native support hasn't come around, thank you!

- Rated 5 out of 5by たやまみ, 4 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17528749, 4 months agoToday, I will uninstall this wonderful add-on as the latest Firefox versions now offer native support for adding custom search engines.
I want to thank the developer for providing us with an intermediary solution all this time. This is the power of the Firefox community! - Rated 5 out of 5by Nolca, 5 months ago
