Permissions Request Explanations
  • notifications : To send notifications on Price Drops and Product Availability
  • storage: To save user data on Products added and other meta data (Note: This user data is kept on the local machine using browser.storage API)
  • activeTab: To get the Active Tab's url to check if its an Amazon/Flipkart product page
  • alarms : To Re-fetch price data in the background at regular intervals
  • host_permissions: To ping amazon.in and flipkart.com to get product data and images
