The Extension does not track your browsing history, monitor your internet activity, or collect any personal information (such as your name, email address, IP address, or location).

3. Data Transmission (Native Messaging)

When you choose to download a file using the Extension, it securely sends the specific URL of that media file directly to the Anolig Downloader desktop application installed on your local computer. This communication happens entirely locally on your device using Native Messaging. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers.

4. Permissions Justification

• <all_urls> and activeTab: Required to allow the Extension to detect downloadable media links and add a context menu item on any webpage you visit. This allows you to right-click and send a link to the desktop app regardless of the website.
• downloads: Required to manage and track the status of downloads initiated by the user.
• nativeMessaging: The essential permission required to communicate with the local Anolig Downloader desktop application.
• scripting: Used to extract specific media URLs from complex web pages when requested by the user.
• cookies: Used strictly to allow the desktop app to download files that require website authentication (e.g., age-restricted videos or private site downloads) by passing the temporary session token locally.
