The RickRoll database is hosted separately and updated independently from the extension.

Developer comments

Currently, the extension only detects RickRoll links that have been added to the database.
URL matching currently requires an exact match. As a result, the same page may not be detected if the URL differs, such as by a trailing / or query parameters.

Reported links will be reviewed before being considered for addition to the RickRoll database.

The RickRoll detection database is managed separately from the extension itself.

This allows new detection rules to be distributed without requiring an extension update.
