AussieDiscount — Privacy Policy for the Firefox add-on

What stays on your device
The add-on keeps a small list of the Australian retailers we cover and checks the page you are on against it locally. Your savings figures, the codes you save, and your preferences are stored only in your browser. Uninstalling the add-on removes them.

What is sent to us, and when
1. About once a day, the add-on downloads the list of stores we cover. This request contains no information about you or your browsing.
2. When you open the panel on a store, the add-on requests that store's discount codes from aussiediscount.com.au. That request tells our server which retailer you are on at that moment.
3. When you choose to vote on whether a code worked, we store your vote together with your IP address and browser type, so one person cannot vote repeatedly and fake a success rate.
Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver these requests.

What we never do
The add-on never reads or fills in any field on the page, never sees what you type, never rewrites links, and does not run on any site outside the retailers we cover. We do not create accounts and we do not sell data.

Savings
To show what a code saved you, the add-on reads the order total and the discount line the store shows at checkout. That figure is worked out on your device and never sent to us.

Deleting your data
To have your vote records removed, email privacy@aussiediscount.com.au.
