Better BTU Classroom ("the Extension", formerly known as GPA-AUTO and BTU+ Plus) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use the Extension.
1. Data Collection & Processing

The Extension operates strictly within your local web browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or personal identifiable information (PII).

To provide its functionality, the Extension processes the following data locally on your device while you interact with the Business and Technology University (BTU) student portal:

Academic Information: Course lists, earned points, completion status, course credit values, and semester grades displayed on your academic portal (სასწავლო ბარათი / Achievement Sheet) to calculate your live GPA, weighted average, and grade point progress.

Course Selection & Schedule Data: Filter preferences (e.g., showing offered courses or hiding failed classes) and course schedule tables parsed to display the compacted schedule view.

Course Materials: Page structures and file download links strictly to enable bulk file/ZIP downloading with original file names.


1. Data Usage & Storage

All data processed by the Extension is used exclusively for real-time presentation and quality-of-life enhancements within your browser session.

Local Execution: All parsing, filtering, and GPA mathematical calculations are performed strictly on your device using client-side JavaScript.

Zero External Transmission: Your grades, courses, schedule, downloaded materials, and session data are never transmitted, stored on, or sent to external servers, databases, or third-party analytics services.

No Persistence: The Extension does not maintain external database records of your academic activity.


1. User Authentication & Credentials

The Extension is designed to function solely within authenticated student sessions on the official BTU student portal.

The Extension does not collect, intercept, request, or store your portal passwords, login credentials, authentication tokens, or session cookies.

Access to portal features remains entirely dependent on your active, authenticated session with the portal itself.


1. Third-Party Sharing & Disclosure

Because we do not collect or store any user data, we do not sell, trade, rent, or share any personal data with third parties under any circumstances.
5. Security

The Extension operates within Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome's isolated content-script environment. It contains zero third-party dependencies, reducing security vulnerability surfaces and ensuring that all script executions remain contained within your local browser instance.
6. Open Source Code Transparency

Better BTU Classroom is an open-source project distributed under the GPL-3.0 License. The full source code is publicly accessible for review and auditing:

1. Changes to This Privacy Policy
