Bolt Download Manager does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

When a download is initiated, the extension accesses the download URL, filename, referrer, and optionally cookies (if user-granted) — all of which are sent exclusively to the locally installed Bolt desktop application via the Native Messaging API. This communication happens entirely on your local machine through an OS-level IPC channel.

The extension stores only a single preference (enabled: true/false) in local storage. No download URLs, cookies, filenames, or browsing data is stored or shared.

The extension does not collect analytics, telemetry, or track browsing history.
