Speed Dial Flow by mryx

I've been using this extension privately for quite a while, but recently I expanded it a bit and added English language support.

I know there are plenty of Speed Dial extensions out there, but I always found them either way too cluttered or missing important settings.

One thing that was especially important to me was being able to update thumbnails without opening tabs. Whenever you visit a website, a screenshot is automatically taken and saved as its thumbnail.



Speed Dial Flow offers granular control over every aspect of your new tab dashboard:

• Columns per Row: Choose between 1 and 20 columns to fit your screen size.
• Auto-Fit Scaling: Dynamically scales tiles to evenly fill widescreen and ultrawide displays.
• Tile Dimensions: Configure base tile width (80px to 800px) and preview height (50px to 600px).
• Grid Spacing: Independently adjust horizontal and vertical gaps between tiles (0px to 80px).

• Content Mode: Choose between full webpage screenshot previews or minimalist favicons.
• Image Fit: Select Cover (cropped fill), Contain (fit whole image), or Stretch.
• Inner Margin: Set padding around the screenshot within the tile.
• Automatic Refresh: Update screenshots based on your visit count, daily, or keep them static (disabled).
• Border & Contour: Optional highlight border around preview areas with customizable width, color, and opacity.

• Header Typography: Adjust title font size (9px to 32px) and font weight (100 to 900).
• Header Dimensions & Colors: Customize header bar height, background color, and title text color.
• Separator Line: Optional dividing line between the header and the preview with custom width, color, and opacity.
• Shape & Depth: Smooth corner radius adjustment (0px to 40px) and customizable drop shadow strength.
• Add Tile Card: Toggle the trailing "+" quick-add tile on or off.

• Solid Background: Set any solid background color using the integrated palette picker.
• Custom Wallpaper: Upload local image files (.png, .jpg, .webp, .svg).
• Image Scaling: Choose between Cover, Contain, Stretch, or Auto.
• 9-Point Alignment: Position wallpaper at Center, Top, Bottom, Left, or Right anchors.

• Edit: Modify URLs and display labels anytime.
• Split Tile: Add a lower half to turn one tile into two stacked bookmarks, or remove halves individually.
• Force Refresh: Instantly recapture a screenshot in the background.
• Per-Site Refresh Interval: Set custom visit thresholds for individual sites (e.g. set to 0 to lock permanently).
• Strictly Local: All bookmarks, configurations, and thumbnails are stored exclusively on your device via browser.storage.local.
