Data Collection: Canvasgotchi is a client-side only browser extension. We do not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers controlled by the developer. All data processing happens locally on your device.

Data Storage & Usage
API Tokens: Your Canvas API token is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's Storage API (chrome.storage.sync). It is used exclusively to authenticate directly with your school's Canvas LMS instance to fetch assignment data.

Assignment Data: Assignment names and due dates are fetched temporarily to display the widget status. This data is not permanently stored or shared.

Third-Party Access: The extension communicates directly with the Canvas LMS API (instructure.com) based on the URL you provide. No data is sent to the developer or any other third parties.
