CleanLink Privacy & Tracker Blocker by webmaster
Privacy Policy
CleanLink exists to remove tracking parameters from links and to help us understand where trackers appear most often. We collect only limited, anonymized usage data needed for debugging and aggregate statistics.
What We Never Do
We never sell your data. We do not build personal profiles, we do not collect names, emails, messages, passwords, search text, cookies, or full browsing history, and we do not use this data for advertising.
What We CollectVisited domain only, for example google.com or github.com.
Date and time of the visit event.
Country code, such as US, DE, or RO.
A random install ID generated by the extension to count unique installs without identifying a real person.
Basic technical metadata like browser language and user agent for debugging compatibility issues.
Why We Collect ItTo debug extension issues and verify that tracker stripping works correctly.
To measure anonymous usage of CleanLink across domains.
To understand which sites contain the most tracking parameters and which trackers appear most often.
To improve detection rules without needing personal information.
What We Do Not CollectNo account names, no emails, no form fields, no passwords.
No page content, no messages, no files, no cookies.
No precise location. We use only a country-level code.
No personal identity. The install ID is random and does not reveal who you are.
Control
Anonymous analytics can be turned off at any time from the CleanLink popup. Tracker stripping continues to work even if you disable analytics. We strongly ask you to keep it enabled. Anonymous usage data helps us detect more trackers, improve protection faster, and make it harder for large platforms to keep making money by collecting and selling digital profiles built from user behavior.
