Latest version
Version 2.0.0
Released Jul 27, 2026 - 99.17 KBWorks with firefox 109.0 and laterCONVERT WITHOUT HUNTING FOR A PRICE
The toolbar icon now opens a real converter. Type any amount, pick any
two of the 166 supported currencies, and see the result instantly along
with the rate used. Previously the icon opened a settings panel and the
extension only worked if you first found a price on a page.
A MUCH BETTER ON-PAGE CARD
Select a price and the card now shows the exchange rate, how recently it
was updated, a button to copy the result, and a picker to convert to a
different currency without leaving the page.
It also stays where it should. The card no longer runs off the edge of
the window or below the bottom of the screen, and websites can no longer
interfere with how it looks.
YOU DECIDE WHEN IT APPEARS
Keep the card on every selection, require a modifier key while you
select, or use the Alt+Shift+C shortcut. You can also switch CurrencyMan
off entirely for individual sites, straight from the card.
A REAL SETTINGS PAGE
Site currency rules now show you exactly what they will do before you
save them — "On amazon.ca, $19.99 reads as CAD 19.99 → ₹1,240" — so
there is no guesswork about whether a rule worked.
- "¥1,000" was read as ¥1, because the comma was treated as a decimal
point. Thousands separators now work correctly in US, European and
space-grouped formats.
- Amounts in "kr", "Fr", "Rp", "Kč", "Ft" and "zł" were all treated as
US dollars. They now resolve to the right currency.
- "US$50" was read as Singapore dollars.
- Negative amounts in accounting format, like "($10.99)", were read as
positive.
- Cached exchange rates never actually expired, so rates could be
silently out of date indefinitely.
- Rules mapping a site to a currency did nothing for most currencies.
- When you are offline, conversions now tell you which day's rates were
used instead of failing.Source code released under All Rights Reserved
