by Firefox user 15097235, 2 years ago-? I'm scared it might be malware (like many of the IG downloader extensions seem to be),
+ but hey, it works!
+ I really like that the download button fits into the site UI organically.
+ I also like that the default behavior is to download all media in a gallery post.
>> A user-configurable setting (1) that allows me to instead download one item at a time would be nice. Better would be a fast shortcut (2), like right click/middle click/shift click on the button. Or a toggleable additional button (3). Or a keybind (4) configurable in Firefox's "Manage Extension Shortcuts" menu.
Strange how some downloaders go for individual files and some go for the whole post, not many seem to allow you to do both? There's something of a niche there.
People can post up to 10x 30-second videos and the files are too big for my web speed to handle effortlessly. In most cases, deleting extra downloads is OK but it's not ideal. I prefer to spend less time managing files.
Yeah it's pretty good

Very useful add-on, works reliably and integrates nicely into Instagram’s UI.
However, I’d like to request a few improvements that would make it much more efficient for power users.
1. Original filename option
In Settings → Filename Pattern, please add a variable that lets the saved file use the original CDN filename from Instagram.
For example, in Kendall Jenner’s latest birthday photo post, the actual image file on the server has a name similar to
573111393_18971195284044931_2042470374313188073_n.jpg
It would be very useful if the add-on could preserve that original name when saving, instead of generating a random or simplified one.
This helps maintain proper archiving and reference of source material.
2. Automatic user subfolders
It would be great if the extension could automatically create folders based on the account name, for example:
C:\Users\User\Downloads\Downloader for Instagram by onlinetoolset\kendalljenner\
That would keep downloads neatly organized without the browser asking for a save path every time.
3. Bulk download without repeated "Save as..." prompts
When downloading multiple images, Firefox currently opens a save dialog for each one.
Could the extension handle multi-image posts in a single batch, or reuse the same chosen directory automatically?
This would save a lot of clicks and time when archiving large posts.
Overall the extension works well. These small quality-of-life improvements would make it perfect for frequent use. Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15993291, 5 months ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17102619, 6 months agoHelpful to an extent, but on Android if there's a post with multiple images, it seems to choose one to download at random rather than the one currently being viewed.

I don't always like that it will automatically try to download everything on a post that contains multiple images. I sometimes just want to download 1 or 2 specific images from 4-5 in a post but can't just select those. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15735914, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Hamoroidsledge, a year agoI really enjoy this extension as it allows multiple downloads from a single post. What I do find frustrating is that Instagram limits the amount of downloads one can use per day. I truly hope it is not this extensions fault.
