1080p or mp3 download is available only for pro version.. though they ask us to wait for an upgrade to download 720/1080, i dont think its reliable.. Its just like any other downloader.. there are better alternatives available.. IDM may be ideal and a better option. thanx..

This downloader doesn't let you download Youtube videos with both the video and audio. I don't know why Youtube downloaders think people EVER want just one or the other. This extension HAS the ability to download both but it won't let you until you download their app. What's the point of installing the extension then?

2023 update:
After donating for the premium feature, now the developer removed the functionality and ask for more donation. Dissapointed with this approach. If you need more money to support your work, requesting non-mandatory donation would be better approach. you might get more money by doing that way as I'm not going to pay more with this approach.

I've payed for the PRO upgrade to download 1080p vids, but the feature fades out with cookies or something. The extension designer doesn't respond to emails or tells me to pay another time. How pitiful.

I have used other downloaders before I found this one & yours truly does exactly what it says. I have shared with people i know and i am sure they will be impressed as much as i am. excuse given for the need to charge for "pro" is "server infrastructure" or some nonsense, as if they couldnt just use ffmpeg or something similar on your local machine to combine the streams

I mean I can do that manually with mkvmerge ffs takes like 1 second for 5min 4k video

You don't need "server infrastructure" to download and merge DASH, you only need FFmpeg and a command line. There are free utilities anyone can use. Ridiculous.

Please let us know when and if this add-on will be available for use again. It has been great in the past, and I have sent money a number of times.

Awesome extension. My experience has been excellent.Hope it would continue in future too.
This is very best extension as for as you tube downloads are concerned. I recommend this to all users of firefox.
However in recent months , may be for about 4 to 5 months not working, It always says that it has been blocked by youtube. Even though button shows to be active and when pressed says it is getting connected but gets the video in mp4 or mp3 version.
Let us know what is the problem. Some people reported even after paying money bought the app for it, it does not work!! Really bad. I saw that site YT1s works well, then why not this app , which many YT users depend on.

UPDATE 10/28/2025: Loved this add on 7 years ago and gave it a 5 stars. But now it's not working right; I get 3 downloads buttons under the video. There is no place to report the problem for help. I deleted it a few times and reinstalled hoping it would clear itself out, but no luck. Now I give it 2 stars.
