This is MUST HAVE addong for everyone, who needs sometimes download some presentation or free video from youtube, because youtube will delete it or just there is no other download mirror of this clip/video. I use it only for archiving. It's really working addon!! And for noobs, who gave 1 star, youtube dont serve video files for direct download since 2018, so all new clips are STREAMED.

Well, google does not like you downloading videos, so it always has been a rodeo, a wild ride, the author(s) so far have managed to stay on top, through all buckling (legal threats), kicking (code changes) and jumping(github not hosting). Here is to many more years - yee haw!

By far the best YT downloader, the maintainer is able to keep up with all the code changes YT uses to break downloaders. Sometimes you need to have some patience but he/she always delivers!! He/She also is very helpfull to explain whats going on when asking for help through email. Top add-on IMHO.

This is the best video downloader tried, very simple use and the author keeps this add-on regularly updated. It works great!

IGNORE (most of) THE ONE-STAR REVIEWS!!! YouTube constantly tries new ways to block downloaders. The developer of this one does an EXCELLENT job of keeping up with their shenanigans. This add-on is easy to use... and YES, it works.

I'm giving this extension 5 stars because it has great features/options, it integrates nicely right into the YT page, and most importantly because the developer is Actively and quickly updating it in response to YT code changes. I've been so impressed with the extension that I was compelled to upgrade to pro just to show my support to Dishita (dev).

This is the best of the best that I have found. Updated quite regularly, generally works seamlessly, and when it doesn't, it is due to a change at Youtube that the author quickly writes a fix for. Highly recommended. Can't go wrong with this one.

I have been using this video downloader for several years now and prefer it over any other that I've tried. It's simple, the download button is right there in front, there are no hoops to jump through, and after hitting the download button you will be given a choice of how you want it downloaded to your computer. Couldn't be simpler and it works perfectly. Give it a try if you haven't already, and it's been checked for safety or viruses by Mozilla so you can feel safe.

I have tried many many many add-on of this nature over the years. This one is the best. Very high rate of success. It has also stood the test of time which is rare with these type of add-ons. No muss, no fuss. Get it! Recommended!

One of the best add-ons ever. Also one of the best maintained add-ons. YouTube regularly changes its code to break theses type of add-ons. It is too bad users immediately give low ratings when YouTube does this and the add-on doesn't work. Developer is responsive to the changes and usually the first to get this type of add-on working again.

Youtube keeps changing the programming to break downloaders, but the author of this plugin is super quick to update the plugin to get it working again. Really, the best downloader add-in out there.
