- Rated 5 out of 5by maxpersona, 5 years agoHas always worked great and the current (5/6/21) disruption is due to youtube's code changing. This has always been fixed before and will likely be fixed in the next few days.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Snow Wolf, 5 years agoFor those who do not know, youtube has changed their code once again to disable the ability to download videos. This is only a minor glitch which Dishita is aware of and will have a fix as soon as possible. Right now he can not respond to everyone about the issue and get it fixed. PLEASE, please be patient and it'll soon be working once again.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16856432, 5 years agoThis is a great add-on. Right now there appears to be an issue with the download button not displaying. The developers are currently working on it.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Primitv1, 5 years agoThis is a great tool! I use it as I am a teacher and need to share videos in class. Sometimes the internet is not working at the school. I don't have to worry, as I have "Youtube Video Downloader," to help me with downloading videos I need. I am also a supporter of "opensource," and ask that all users help by donating a little for all the efforts by Dishita. Thanks!

- Rated 5 out of 5by trickmint, 5 years agoVery good addon, would recommend and has very good quality downloads with good download speeds. Definitely one of the better video downloaders I've seen in a while. Major respect to the developer for managing to keep up with youtube's updates.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Eisy, 5 years agoLook at the post from Unheard - you will have to do this for every video again until the button is back, but it works.
post from Unheard:
As of May 5 2021 the button disappeared. But I found a temporary fix for it. I just looked for the div #eytd_list on inspect element and set it to display: block, then the download options finally appeared on the top left. - Rated 5 out of 5by WebDev, 5 years agoUser Unheard, you are brilliant to provide a temporary workaround until Dishita has a chance to overcome YouTube alterations.
To those of you who just jump on here and complain about the button disappearing, spend just a few minutes looking before you create noise and you will find brilliant post like the one from Unheard that gives you a solution.
Just for that I'm not even going to tell you what the workaround is. Make the effort and look through the posts. And if you aren't tech-savey enough to use the info to do the work around, tough.... you'll just have to wait. - Rated 5 out of 5by rjflory, 5 years agoUpdate: The "Download" button is back ;)
I've used this add-on for years and have been quite happy with it. Last week the "Download" button disappeared again, but Dishita got it working again quickly.
As written by other reviewers, this happens occasionally as the author has no control over what subtle counter-measures Youtube will try next... - Rated 1 out of 5by wally, 5 years agoThere is no integrated button for downloading, or any optional way for this addon to function. I have tried browser restarts and attempts from multiple sources on youtube, I don't understand why a non functioning addon is recommended.
